Teaming up with 'Cause We Can Events and Dish Wish again for what is one of our favorite shoots yet!
This week's theme was an inspired Bohemian bridal brunch, with lots of color, feathers, cute candle decor, and of course fabulous dishes. What I love about these dishes is you can rent them for whatever occasion you have, and you don't have to buy and store all these sets of china, someone else does it for you! That way you can entertain with so many different styles and be super creative, mixing and matching whichever pleases you.
For the flowers, I used bright colors of orange and bright pinks (pin cushion, orchids, blooming seeded eucalyptus, and a beautiful garden rose that had yellow centers lined with red fringe), contrasted with deep purple carnations and brown feathers, and it really helped the table pop.
More photos on my website Brie's Honeybees & Flowers.
For the vase, I repurposed a metalic lined candle holder--an eco-chic feature we always like to include in our designs in some way. And with a few extra blooms, I made a head piece for the bride--because who doesn't love wearing beautiful flowers.
The beautiful photos were taken by Alissa Noelle Photography.

Photos of Matt and Chelsea's Wedding by Brookelyn Photography
All of the photos of the wedding and in this post were taken by Brookelyn Photography. To see more of her work visit Brookelynphotography.com. She did a fantastic job with the entire wedding, and I'm so thankful she was able to photograph some of my arrangements for me.
Thank you to my dear friends Matt and Chelsea for allowing me to be part of their special day by designing their floral work. The location of this wedding was at the South Coast Botanic Gardens in Palos Verdes, California. If you are having a country or garden wedding you may want to take some notes on some of their details!

Some details:
Guests brought blankets for the reception and checked them in upon arrival.
Lavender bunches as favors.
Messages left for the bride and groom.
It was a really beautiful July day, and I was able to get the flowers done right before being put on complete bed rest.

Spring Flowers
Spring flowers are arriving, so I went to a wholesaler to get some things to play around with some new designs. I used the same batch of flowers to create several versions.
Design 1:
These garden roses are beautiful. They have a similar look to peonies, which I love.

Design 3:
This design has a more simple, garden like feel. What I really love about it is the black cosmos flowers and the blackberries, which I think add great contrast to the color scheme and make it pop. And the red ti leaves in the vase carry some of the darker pinks down the whole of the arrangement, which is a similar color as in the variations of the maturing berries, as well as hints of it in the tulip.
For a more rustic look, jute ribbon can be added.
Design 4:
A larger piece, good for an entry way or outdoor events. Once the quince branches begin to bloom, they will be covered in clusters of white flowers.
My kitten insisted on being in the photo. But she does help give an idea of proportion.
A closer look.
